Capernaum
Capernaum was a town in Galilee that was a home base of sorts for Jesus during His ministry. Jesus performed several miracles in Capernaum, such as healing a paralytic in Matthew 9, the coin in the mouth of the fish in Matthew 17, and freeing the demon-possessed man in the synagogue in Mark 1.

Today the city site boasts the remains of an impressive synagogue, though it is unknown if this is the one mentioned in the gospels or one that was built just later.
